Hamilton Family Fun!

Hamilton is a great place to get together with your family and explore different activities, shows, and events taking place. For many people, this may be a day trip into the city to catch up on some family fun, for others it may be about spending time outdoors and catching up on some alone time in a great city setting.

Here is what is happening this weekend:

Family Fun Night

When: September 17th @ 7pm -9pm
Where: RBG Arboretum, 16 Old Guelph Rd.

Explore RBG after hours with their resident nature experts to discover the fascinating world of bats! You can take an evening walk on Saturday and talk with their experienced nature guides who will be speaking about the different bat species that live in the gardens, their behaviours, and why RBG offers them a great habitat. You will also learn about other animal species, birds, and insects that call RBG home. Details

Binbrook Fair

When: September 16th – 18th
Where: 2600 Hamilton Regional Rd 56, Binbrook

Celebrate 3 days of family fun with a smash-up derby, rodeo and livestock shows, rides, exhibits, and vendors!

The Hanes Sunflower Maze

When: Daily from 10 am – 5 pm
Where: Hanes Corn Maze, Dundas

Check out this beautiful 8-acre maze of beautiful sunflower blooms! Walk through, take pictures, and soak in the sun!

Family Fun at The Apple Orchard

When: Thursdays – Mondays from 9 am – 5 pm
Where: The Apple Orchard Inc., 1668 Ontario 6, Hamilton

Enjoy tractor rides, jump in the hay and check out their local produce! You can even bring your pet along for a walk along the trails and corn maze!

U-Pick Apples: ApplePicking at Luna Farm

When: Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 9 am – 5 pm
Where: Luna Farms, 8th Rd, Stoney Creek

Check out this beautifully located farm! Right in the heart of the Niagara Escarpment, Luna Farms offers apple picking right off the tree. You can choose from over 25 varieties of locally grown apples. Immerse yourself in this age-old fall tradition of harvesting fruit. They also have an awesome farm shop you can check out!

Festival of Fountains – The Night Garden

When: Friday and Saturday, September 2nd – October 15th
Where: Whistling Gardens, 698 Concession 3 Townsend, Wilsonville

Check out this highly visual immersive experience The Night Gardens has to offer! This interpretive storytelling experience of music, water, and lighting invite guests to experience the beautiful scenic botanical beauty and all its wonder.
