Good news Burlington! A very popular grocery store recently announced that it will be opening a location right here in the city.
Farm Boy is coming to Burlington, and will be located at 3061 Walkers Line and will be 25,483 square feet in size.
The popular grocery store is expected to open later this year and, as noted in a recent press release, will create 120 new jobs in Burlington.
Once Farm Boy opens, Burlington residents, and those who frequent the city, will have a new store to purchase their produce, artisanal cheese, fresh cheese, and butcher-quality meats from.
And if that’s not enough to get you excited, fear not, because there’s more.
“Customers can also look forward to a terrific selection of locally made products and plant-based foods, as well as sweet and savoury treats made from scratch in the Farm Boy Kitchen,” reads the release. “For busy shoppers looking to eat well on the run, Farm Boy will be serving up their fresh, delicious chef-inspired meals with a hot bar, salad bar, and fast-casual restaurant experience that includes mouth-watering, gourmet pizzas and freshly rolled sushi.”
In addition, the Burlington store will also have a made-to-order grilling station, and a Wi-Fi enabled seating area.
Currently, Farm Boy has one other location in the Halton Region – Oakville.
“After opening locations in Toronto, Oakville and Hamilton, we’ve received many requests from residents of Burlington asking us to bring Farm Boy to their city,” Jeff York, Farm Boy co-CEO, said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to share the news today [June 12, 2019] with the Burlington community and we’re excited for the opportunity to earn their lasting business.”
