Hot Off the Press – Weekend Roundup

Looking for some inspiration to keep you busy this weekend? We’ve compiled one tasty and fun list for you to experience our community at its best. This Sunday, we will pause with a grateful heart and remember those that have served for our country and our freedom, and we hope that you do too.

Novemburger 2018

Hungry? Launched in 2014, Novemburger brings together the Hamilton and Halton community, while raising funds for the United Way during the month of November. Visit participating restaurants to taste their signature Novemburger, then rate it, and at the end of the month, two winners will be announced. This year, 70 restaurants in Burlington and Hamilton are getting their Novemburger on; will you? http://novemburger.ca/

Cirque Le Roux, Burlington Performing Arts Centre – Friday, November 9th

Dubbed as deliciously retro, absolutely original and a mishmash of circus, comedy and crime, Cirque Le Roux delves into a smoky monochrome world of circus arts, Hollywood film noir and physical theatre. Welcome to the luxurious estate of Miss Betty, it is autumn of 1937, and things are not as they seem. https://burlingtonpac.ca/events/cirque-le-roux

Hamilton’s Food & Drink Fest, First Ontario Centre, Friday, November 9th – Sunday, November 11th

This festival gives food and drink aficionados the opportunity to sample, sip and savour a vast variety of local wines, craft beers and chef-inspired foods from restaurants, craft breweries and Ontario wineries. Enjoy bite-sized eats to try and to take home. Must be 19 years of age or older to attend Friday, and Saturday; Sunday, Food & Drink Fest is open to all ages. http://www.coreentertainment.ca/events/detail/fooddrink18

Hamilton Fashion Show, Royal Botanical Gardens Atrium – Saturday, November 10th

Remembrance Day Service, Burlington – Sunday, November 11th at 11 am

All are invited to join the Remembrance Day service held at the Cenotaph in front of City Hall to show respect and gratitude to those serving, previously served and have sacrificed for our country. https://www.burlington.ca/en/live-and-play/Remembrance-Day.asp

Other places to commemorate in the community are Ancaster Old Town Hall, Gore Park downtown Hamilton, and the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum.
